It’s not every day that a dream project like this comes along – to brand and design the interior of a new concept bar in Berkhamsted.
The bar builds on the creative talents of Paul Rozelaar, who has been owner of The Berkeley Gallery in Lower Kings Road for 20 years, as he adds fine wine to the mix in his new venture – The Berkeley.
The new bar showcases an innovative ‘wine by the glass’ service where guests help themselves from temperature-controlled machines designed to preserve the wine and ensure that every glass is perfectly chilled, or beautifully held at room temperature, just as it should be.
The high-tech wine machines premiered in London a while back, to great acclaim. The Berkeley will have exclusivity for the concept in the 3 counties. The wine focus is definitely all about quality rather than quantity – which of course will compliment perfectly the art that Paul will select for the walls and the well chosen cheeses, charcuterie and assorted nibbles available to complete the experience.
The bar’s launch in early October is bound to generate a great deal of interest on Berkhamsted’s already bustling social scene, with membership of The Berkeley and ownership of what will no doubt be a sought after Berkeley Card only fuelling interest.
We can’t wait to see it open…
