Empathy, innovative thinking and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do…
…with our clients, our team, our partners and our community
We honed our skills setting up global businesses, running large teams and delivering multi million pound projects and turnover.
We learnt from our experiences, establishing Yellowyoyo in 1998 as a talented team of inspiring, curious people delivering world class, relevant ideas.
Our decades of experience mean that we understand how to run businesses, deliver impact and enrich customer experiences across all channels. In a world where interaction and communication are ever changing, the only constant is that as channels develop, so must businesses and brands.
We’re proud of the longstanding relationships we have with those who trust us to ensure their businesses and brands are irresistible and en route to their desired exit. That trust and those relationships are the catalysts to our case study success stories. They’re the proof that we continually strive for the best possible outcome and keep our clients’ – and team’s – best interests at heart.
I have over 25 years’ experience as a senior business executive and strategist with a background in launching and leading global businesses. I have created high growth businesses and led international teams to take market share and increase revenue within a short period of time. I have consulted for, and advised, companies and government departments on leadership, organisational development, and strategic digital transformation.
I believe that SME businesses are the beating heart of an economy which is why I am passionate about helping this sector innovate, grow, and succeed.
I also believe in education and helping the next generation of entrepreneurs which is why I am a Trustee of an Academy School Trust and a member of the National Governance Association. I have a Law Masters and an MBA (Oxon).
I’m a founding director of Yellowyoyo, where I oversee everything graphics related.
I’ve 30 years of experience across every sector and in all aspects of graphic design, including corporate identity, print, packaging, retail, interactive design, event, exhibition and media.
Since qualifying with a BA Hons in Graphic Design, my career path has led me to work with some fantastic companies – 20|20, Enterprise IG, Fitch, Design House, Conran, Design in Action amongst others.
And I’ve had the opportunity to work with some great clients – in the UK they include Accenture, TIMA, Vanarama, Canon, Currys, Dixons, Ladbrokes, Orange, The Sanctuary, Texaco, Toshiba, Virgin and Wickes. Across Europe, Canon, Philips and Ahold, Foschini Group in South Africa and TIMA all over the world…
My real passion is logotype design, and I’m proud to be trusted by clients and given the opportunity to create lasting, innovative marques for their businesses. Client relationships really matter to me, I believe wholeheartedly that being ‘part of the team’ makes for project success.
I’m a keen networker too, so you’ll probably meet me out and about in Milton Keynes, London or sometimes further afield.
Strategy & Legacy Director
Though I cover many other sides of business now, by trade I’m actually an interior designer.
I’m a founding director with over 35 years of international experience working with brands in all commercial sectors across all of the design disciplines offered by Yellowyoyo.
To be honest I’ve a complete obsession with customer behaviour and the ways and means to influence that behaviour.
In the UK I’ve run retail projects for The Conran Shop, Debenhams, Dixons, Habitat, IKEA, Next, PC World, Travis Perkins, Virgin, WH Smith, Whitbread and Wickes and helped develop shopping centres such as Bluewater, Eldon Gardens, Grafton Centre, Nieuwe Passage in Holland and Princes Square.
Abroad I’ve worked with Ahold, MAB and Canon in Holland, IKEA in Sweden and The Conran Shop and TIMA in the USA. With my Yoyo team I’ve created office interiors and showrooms for TIMA, World Aluminium, Arise News, Canon UK, Canon Europe, Sharp Electronics, Accenture and ICL.
I’ve over 20 years’ marketing experience in Agency and Client-side roles spanning multiple sectors: sport and leisure, drinks, retail, FMCG, education, healthcare and IT.
The first half of my career was with a London marketing agency where I became a Board Director, running the largest accounts and ultimately steering the business towards a buy-out by Publicis Groupe. I had the privilege of working with and learning from major brands such as Guinness, Baileys, Marmite, Pot Noodle and Safeway, developing award-winning campaigns with highly talented teams.
Subsequently I switched to the Client side, initially in consultancy roles before being a part of the team that built and launched The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead. In more recent years I worked as Marketing Director for a multi-site sport and leisure charity.
My experience has taught me that the best results come from brilliant teamwork – whether that’s a Client – Agency relationship or an internal team relationship. I’m really excited to be able to bring my Client experience back into the agency world, helping SMEs to achieve their goals and stand out in the market place.
I support the team in all elements of the organisation, from administration and processes to office management. With my 25 years of experience, leading complex projects – primarily with Abbey National and Santander – I’ve designed, managed and implemented new procedures in banking, telecoms and IT.
My passion for keeping things structured and organised yet simple, allows everyone stay more focused and to successfully deliver on their goals.
I believe business is all about the people. I know I’m so lucky to be part of such a forward-thinking, experienced team.
Associate Director / Corporate Finance
I’ve over 18 years’ experience in finance, advising a wide variety of organisations, ranging from small start-ups through to large multinational organisations. In 2020, after completing 8 years working in global restructuring, corporate finance and lead advisory at PwC, I transitioned my work towards Board advisory, working with management teams seeking to build their businesses with a view to working towards a significant value realisation event.
I’ve held a number of CFO positions in tech, life sciences and manufacturing, and have significant experience working with venture and private equity backed companies. I hold a number of non-executive roles with a wide range of companies, working closely with management teams to develop and deliver on their strategic objectives. I’m also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, having trained at Saffery Champness in London.
From an advisory perspective, I’ve extensive experience in advising management on structuring debt facilities and equity transactions and also working with management teams in advance of a transaction to structure their business and operations to optimise their valuation potential whilst also positioning their business in the best way to deliver a favourable deal for all stakeholders.
Having lived and worked in the Nordics, throughout Europe as well as in the US and India, my experience also spans overseas companies and businesses with international operations.
Digital Marketing Executive
Having worked in the marketing sector for almost a decade, four years of which were as a consultant, I’ve been privileged to work with a wide variety of companies spanning various industries. I felt at home the minute I walked into the Yellowyoyo studio and love being part of the team.
I’ve a wealth of experience developing and delivering marketing strategies and campaigns . If I were to have a niche, it would be SME’s. My skill set also includes social media marketing, organic growth marketing, email marketing, website design, content creation and graphic design.
I’m fortunate to have the aptitude to communicate between CEO, team and producer seamlessly, as my experience in photography, design and copy allows me to understand how to translate vision into brief and vice versa.
Creativity is key to me and runs through to my core. This translates fluidly throughout the projects, proposals and the work I produce. I pride myself on my creativity and my passion and see them as my key strengths in this industry.
Associate Director / AI & Marketing
As a consultant, having worked with many SMEs from all sectors I’m well positioned to understand the needs of businesses. Having spent nearly five years working for one of the UK’s largest vehicle leasing brands in a senior marketing role, I understand the part brand plays in helping businesses to acquire and retain customers. Through this experience, and the 10 years of running my own small business, I’m well positioned to assist Yellowyoyo’s clients in their growth, through brand management, marketing strategy and digital marketing.
Over the years I’ve worked on every channel of marketing from social media, sports sponsorship and TV advertising to chat bots and growth hacking. With such a diverse set of tools I enjoy working with businesses to understand their needs and to then deploy a strategy and tactics to help them achieve their business goals.
My reception manner can be quite enthusiastic, admittedly, but I’m working on it…
The team turn to me when they fancy a spot of decompression and I’m always very happy to oblige.
It’s important to us to support the community and to work with local charities to help create a better city.
We’ve supported Willen Hospice for many years through their Business Club, of which we are Founder members. This popular networking group supports the charity and gives like-minded local businesses the chance to make connections, pass business and collaborate.
Willen Hospice cares for end of life patients and their families in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. The Hospice is run by local people for local people and are proud to deliver calm, compassionate care in a tranquil environment, helping people to really make the most of the time they have left with their loved ones.
“Yellowyoyo had played a part in the founding of a business club for a Hertfordshire-based hospice, described the process and were instrumental in opening our eyes to a format that could work for Willen Hospice. They connected us with an opposite number there and we were able to discuss and learn from them. Willen Hospice Business Club was launched in December 2016.
We’re delighted to have the support of Yellowyoyo and really appreciate their keenness to help us wherever they can.”
Dawn Clark / Challenge Manager at Willen Hospice
We’re also Corporate Members of Milton Keynes Community Foundation.
We’ve worked with the charity for many years. We particularly like their method of ensuring that funding is sent where it’s needed most locally. By guiding businesses, philanthropists and charities to the right giving and grants, they’re on a mission for a fairer community.
They provide a range of grant programmes to support everyone from small grassroots groups right through to larger organisations working in the voluntary, community and cultural sector across MK.
“Yellowyoyo have worked with the Foundation as mutual partners for many years, both in a paid and voluntary capacity. We value their strategic and creative expertise and the advice and support they give in helping us to work with other businesses to build our grant funding to the community.”
