Our Chosen Charity Willen Hospice

We aim to help Willen Hospice whenever we can…

One significant way has been in relation to their Business Club, where local businesses can give much needed regular financial support. In return they not only have the satisfaction of supporting such a worthy cause, but can also enjoy the opportunity to network with likeminded local businesses.  We’re proud to be one of a small group of founder members of the Club, which launched in December 2016.

We’re delighted to have been instrumental in helping Willen from the outset by facilitating discussions between their fundraising team and their opposite numbers at The Hospice of St Francis, where there is already a successful business club model in existence, and of which we were members up until very recently.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be launching the Willen Hospice Business Club. We have some wonderful support from corporate partners across Milton Keynes and beyond and our club aims to bring those supporters together…”
Dawn Clark, Fundraising Manager at Willen Hospice.

We’re also more than happy to lend a hand with the odd bit of design work when required…

Willen Hospice provides specialist end-of-life care for adults, focusing on four key areas: specialist symptom control, emotional support, spiritual support and care for carers.  Often the most distressing aspect of living with life-limiting illnesses is the types of pain and symptoms which can arise. Their team of dedicated staff and volunteers can give compassionate, specialist support to patients, and their family members, to help deal with, as they wish to, the physical and emotional effects of both their illness and treatments.

Willen work closely with GPs, hospitals, community nursing staff and social workers and strive to make sure that specialist care is practical, informed and supportive at all levels. Patients receive care at their  In-Patient Unit and Community Hub within the Hospice and also within the community through Community Nursing Teams.

Being a part of the Business Club means that  money paid by members goes directly to the Hospice. The networking is often hosted by members, so there’s the opportunity for them to showcase their business. (You don’t have to be a huge business to join, as hosting an event is in no way obligatory).

There are very affordable packages, so it really is open to all size of business. An easy way to build business whilst supporting a fabulous charity.
