Women in Enterprise celebrate 40!

Last week, we gathered at the beautiful Chicheley Hall for a very special Afternoon Tea. And what a celebration it was.

It marked both the 40th anniversary of Women in Enterprise and the 80th birthday of our President, one of the original network founders, Sally Fennemore MBE. 

We were joined by past and present members and many guests. Eighty brilliant women – and a few men too – gathered in the sun-drenched gardens of this stunning local venue to celebrate an impressive milestone. The sun shone, the musicians played, and the conversation and fizz flowed.

As a committee member of Women in Enterprise, I’m proud to be part of a not-for-profit group that exists to support, inspire and connect.  But also that our impact reaches further. Through our events and community, we raise funds for the Women’s Fund, held by the Milton Keynes Community Foundation – supporting the women and girls across our region who need it most.  

You might be surprised to learn that we’ve donated £13,000 to the fund this year.

It was an afternoon full of warmth and laughter. I left feeling deeply grateful, and more determined than ever to keep doing the work that matters, alongside this incredible group of women who show up so willingly for each other and for our community.
